More Diaper Cakes

Making Diaper Cakes might be one of my favorite things to craft.  They make great gifts for Mommies-to-be!

Here are some of my favorites:

Ruffle Bum Onesie

I made this for my niece for the Fourth of July.  Such an easy (and cheap) way to liven up a plain onesie! You don't have to be a great sewer to get this done (I'm not).  Happy ruffling!

Hair Bow Holder Galore!

Hair bow holders make cute presents!  You can decorate them to match anything.
Step One: Pick out scrapbook paper that you want to use for your letter (I got the letters from Hobby Lobby for about $1 each).  Place paper face down on table. Place letter face down on paper.  Trace edges.  Cut out letter from paper. (May need an exacto knife for the inside part of the A).
Step Two: Paint outside edges of cardboard letter to match scrapbook paper.
Step Three: Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge using a foam brush
Step Four: Place cut-out letter from scrapbook paper on top of cardboard letter.  Smooth out any bubbles. Let Dry.
Step Five: Apply thin layer of Mod Podge over scrapbook paper to seal.  Let dry.  Apply another coat.
Step Six: Cut ribbon in long strands to hang from the bottom of the letter.  Make bows and place on ends.
Done!

**The first two are actually made from the old fashioned way of using glue and glitter.  Was a big mess, but they turned out cute!

My new Niece-to-be!

These are the diaper cakes, decorations, and party favors I made for my sister's baby shower. I really love these cakes. She still hasn't taken it apart!

Here are the small dollar candles from Walmart. Wrap it in a flower and it's an instant gift!

Here is the purse that I made into a manicure kit. I got the svg file from Denise at Paper Pastime. She is amazing! Please go visit her site!

Baby name collage

While browsing some of my favorite bloggers, I stumbled upon Amy's lovely baby name collages. They were so cute and I just HAD to try to do one for my niece-to-be. Since I couldn't find a 21" x 9" shadow box like Amy used, I created a 12" x 12" one.

Here is the link to her blog. Thanks for the inspiration Amy!

Shower invitation

It's funny that most of my posts have had something to do with babies and baby showers. Anyway, here's an invitation that I made for a friend's shower. I used my cricut expression, vellum paper, my printer, a decorative punch, and some ribbon.

Delicious Diaper Cakes...

I have made several diaper cakes for friends and relatives for their baby showers. I love EVERY minute of making these. They are just too fun! I've sold a couple and would love to make and sell more!!!
